Gravel for President

The first primary debate was tonight, and Mike Gravel stole the show. Tell your friends. Join the Facebook group. Volunteer. My guess is his performance in South Carolina tonight will catapult his name recognition into the high single digits.

His most memorable assertion was that, and I'm paraphrasing here, running for President is like being in the Senate. The first day you walk in and you think, "wow, how did I make it here?" The third day you ask yourself, "How did all of these guys!?"

Who? (As you can see, I am deeply involved in the Democratic primary.)

He's a two term senator from Alaska. Hasn't been involved in politics since 1980. Totally crazy Libertarian (wants a flat tax.) I like him because Brian Williams asked him who our 3 biggest enemies are, and he said "Enemies?! We don't have any enemies! Our defense budget is bigger than the entire rest of the world put together. Who are we afraid of!? Who are you afraid of, Brian!?"

He also accused Barack Obama of trying to start a nuclear war, and said that Joe Biden is dangerous because he has "a certain arrogance."
